All LED mirrors are supplied as hard-wired products, intended to be wired into the mains and controlled most commonly by a room light switch.
Do your mirrors and led mirrors have a guarantee?
Yes 12-month guarantee, with the LEDS they are checked before being sent out
Can you explain in more detail how this works?
The mirror is manufactured with a back frame, LED strip lights pre-applied, and wall fixings ready for installation. The back of the mirror will have a fixed electrical transformer, so it just needs to be wired to a main electrical feed.
How to Measure for an LED Mirror
If the mirror isn’t being fitted onto a wall with space around it, measure the size you feel is appropriate for the area.
If the mirror is being installed in a tight space, we recommend accounting for a 50mm space border for the lighting effect. The mirror will also stand out from the wall by approximately 18-20mm.
If the measurement is an irregular shape, we will need a drawing from you with the exact measurements for each side. Then, subtract 50mm from the border to allow the light to shine effectively.
How to Install an LED Bathroom Mirror
There are two stages when installing an LED mirror. The first stage is the “first fix.” This stage is especially important in bathrooms, as the electrician will need to route the cable through the wall to the area where the mirror will hang. During the first fix, the electrician’s role is simply to route the cable and connect it to a local power source. We recommend contacting a qualified local electrician for this work.
Once the cable is installed, you can tile or paint the wall where the mirror will be mounted. If the mirror is not being installed on a tiled or painted wall, the electrician may be able to complete the entire installation in one day.
What do you need to do to make the light connect and work?
Simply connect the power wire from the mirror to the mains wire for your desired location. Most mirrors are connected to a light switch, so when you switch on the bathroom light to enter the room, it also switches the LED mirror on. It can also switch on the demister.
Can you provide holes and cutouts?
Yes, we can provide cutouts and holes for sockets. However, we don’t provide shaver sockets or toothbrush chargers—these will need to be supplied by you. We only handle the cutouts and holes.
Can you provide an etched design on the LED mirror?
Yes, we can provide any type of design, such as a border. In theory, the band for the light can be any size you want. You just need to understand that the light comes from the inside edge of the etched window, not directly through the back.
How are the mirrors fixed to the wall?
You can use adhesive to fix the MDF backing board to the wall. This will need to be supported in place with temporary supports until the adhesive sets (approximately 24 hours). Alternatively, you can hang the mirrors like a picture frame, using hanging straps fixed to the MDF backing and hanging them on heavy-duty wall hooks. The mirrors will hang on two hooks, which we also supply. If the mirror isn’t just a basic square shape, perhaps a half-circle or another shape—then the manufacturing process will be slightly different, but the fixing method remains the same.

We can also supply them with security fixings for commercial use. Similar to the straps, the wall screw locks into the hanger with a spanner, meaning the mirror becomes fixed and cannot be removed without the spanner unlocking the fixing.
How do LED mirrors get power?
This method involves connecting the mirror directly to your home’s wiring, usually requiring professional installation for a clean, seamless look. Hardwired (NOT plug). A standard UK plug can be supplied if required.
What does the light finish look like?
We provide two light finishes, as shown below. There is no price difference between them.
- Bright light – 6000k are 360lm per meter
- Warm light – 3000k are 330lm per meter
- Both at 19.2w per meter
- Voltage is 12V for LED light
Can you get different colour LED lights?
Yes, you can have different colours with the colour remote option. The LED colour option allows you to pre-set your preferred colour. For example, if you select the colour purple, you can switch the light off and, once it’s turned back on, it will remain on the colour purple.
Does the remote control include warm and bright light options?
No
How far does the mirror protrude from the wall?
Approximately the gap is 24-25mm. The MDF backing board is 18mm thick. Mirror thickness is 6mm. The item hangs flush with the wall.
Is the MDF backing suitable for bathrooms and resistant to rotting or damp?
Yes, they are suitable for a bathroom and yes, they are resistant to rotting or damp
Do you provide a touch sensor on the mirror?
No, we don’t provide a Sensitive Touch Sensor Switch. The light is hardwired, so there will be a switch on the wall. We’ve researched touch sensors for mirrors, but they’re not very efficient. These mirrors are made from low-quality materials, and over time, they can wear and peel.
Where are the LED lights positioned?
They are positioned behind the mirror.
Can the LED lights be dimmed if connected to a dimmer switch?
Yes, they can be dimmed. You need to use a 12V dimmer switch.
Are you providing the switch with the mirror?
No, the switch is not provided. The mirror is designed to be hardwired, usually linked to a standard light switch. For example, your bathroom light switch will also switch the mirror on. They can, of course, be adapted further with the help of an electrician.
What does the back of the mirror look like?
They are manufactured slightly differently depending on the shape of the mirror (square mirrors have a framed backing, while shaped mirrors have an MDF backing) – see below.
Do you provide backlit or frontlit LED mirrors?
Backlit is our standard option, where the light only shines from the back of the mirror. Frontlit, where the light shines through sandblasted lines on the mirror, is also available. We offer both options, though backlit is the most popular.
Does the demister come pre-fitted to the back of the mirror?
We can supply the demister either loose or already applied to the mirror. It’s much easier for the customer to connect the wires before sticking it to the mirror. The demister comes with a big sticky back pad, making it easy to fit. Once connected, it can be wired so that when the light is switched on, the demister also turns on. Voltage is 12V – data sheet available on request.
Can the mirrors be adapted for a dressing table?
Yes, we can design the mirror to fit over furniture. It’s just an LED mirror made with a cutout at the bottom, allowing the furniture to be fixed over the top of the mirror.
