How to Create a Template for your Fire Brick

If you are not sure of the make of your appliance and your bricks have a shape to them, you will need to send us a template by post.

To do this, you will need to draw around your fire brick onto a piece of cardboard or paper.

First, protect your floor and hearth by placing a dust sheet down to prevent any soot or ash getting onto it.

Wearing gloves, remove the bricks from the appliance and place them onto the dust sheet.

Some bricks may have chamfered, bevelled or rebated edges. If possible, stand the bricks up and draw around the brick and mark the template as a reference for this edge.

Once you have finished drawing around the bricks, write down the brick thickness and your contact details and send the template in the post.

Once you’re happy with your template, send it to Me and My Glass, 103-105 Mowbray Drive, Blackpool, FY3 7UN.

Remember to ensure you have included your name and delivery address as we get many templates so need to identify which is which.

Please ensure you have paid the correct postage fee. Sometimes we get notes from Royal Mail that the parcel hasn’t been delivered due to incorrect postage fees. It is recommended to go to the post office to send your template so you get the right postage fee.

Once we have received your template, we’ll then get in touch with you for a quotation or if you have already paid for your fire brick, we will start cutting. If you have any questions, get in touch with our team today.
