
When glass is cutting out corners for T-shaped splashbacks and socket cutouts, it’s important to note that it can’t be a 90 degree angle.
As the illustration below shows, glass / mirrors can’t be cut with a 90 degree internal corner, it must be a minimum 11mm radius. It’s just not possible for the machine to achieve an 90 degree internal corner cut.

An 11mm radius is basically the corner of a 1p coin.
To account for this different approaches can be taken to suit what its going into. For example they are quite often an issue when it comes to upside down T shape for splashbacks.
With this shape more often than not the glass is running under the cabinets so to for the clearance of the radius gap under the cabinets would make sense as this would not really be seen.
To account for this you would be looking at around 3mm size reduction on both height and width to allow for the gaps.
