How To Make A Stove Glass Template

At Me and My Glass, our solutions are made to measure and cut to size, ensuring you can always enjoy the perfect fit. However, if your glass is an unusual design or shape, then we will need a clear template to ensure we can produce a solution that meets your exact measurements. We are also able to provide more conventional shapes, such as rectangular and square stove glass doors alongside arched and shaped glass doors.

If your stove glass is rectangular or square shaped, you can order online by clicking here.

If your glass is arched or an unusual shape, you will need to create a template, here is how to do it in three simple steps:

1 – Measure and create

The first thing that you should do is clearly measure the inside of your glass stove. You should use a tape measure to ensure that you get this exact before then using these measurements to create a replica in paper, card or cardboard.

Alternatively, if you still have the glass, you can draw around it to get an exact template.

2 – Amend

Once you have your template, hold it against the glass aperture. This will allow you to amend and adjust as required to ensure a perfect fit. Just remember to keep a 2mm gap between the template and aperture.

3 – Send us your template

Once you’re happy with your template, send it to Me and My Glass, 103-105 Mowbray Drive, Blackpool, FY3 7UN. Remember to ensure you have included your name and delivery address alongside ensuring you have paid the correct postage fee. Sometimes we get notes from Royal Mail that the parcel hasn’t been delivered due to incorrect postage fees.

Once we have received your template, we’ll then get in touch with you for a quotation or if you have already paid for your glass, we will start cutting the glass. If you have any questions, get in touch with our team today.
